England: From the Fall of Rome to the Norman Conquest

Post by Damelon »

Good free Great Courses series on Amazon Prime this month on Anglo-Saxon England. 24 approximately 1/2 hour episodes.

If you have an interest in history it’s worth keeping an eye on their series of the month. They offered a good one last year on the pre-Colombian civilizations of the USA and Canada and I’m hoping they offer one they have on the Mayans. At other times they offer the series for sale usually starting at around $60 - $70.

Wondrium carries several amazing Great Courses courses on Pre-Columbian civilizations. Edwin Barnhardt narrates most of them. He's got an overview course on the Aztecs and Maya that is really great -- and really long, at 36 1-hour episodes, but I thought it was fascinating. He's also got one on just the Mayans.

I'll look for the Anglo-Saxon England one, Damelon -- thanks for the tip!
