The Grim Oak Press illuminated editions of LFB, TIW, and TPTP that Menolly has graced me over the years are exquisite and treasured, but not worth what they cost someone of limited means. Accepting a gift honors the giver, and I'd not willingly do otherwise than honor her choices.

By attending signings in the old days and Elohimfests in the last dozen years, all my conventional first editions are SRD-signed...except those since 2014.

What I actually read (and reference) are the lesser copies; they read the same and the wear of reading doesn't degrade them measurably.

If only I had the 1977 Cordoba to sit in, enjoying the feel of the Corinthian leather, while reading a luxurious signed leather copy of LFB. "Ahhhhh Kirk... my old friend....."

It is still cheaper than the Grim Oak editions. I wonder if they are going to do the other two. A short bookclub sized 8.5 inch LFB sitting alone would ruin the aesthetic of my Donaldson bookshelves.
