Maybe, but I suspect if I ponder it for too long I'll find myself lost in the desert...

40 years indeed. (Biblically aligned I said, not necessarily "biblical.") ;)

Good show, your question. :D

Gracias. Next question:

How many men did the Termigan bring to support Mordant and Alend in the Battle of Esmerel?

I am going to say zero because he wanted the men in his own territory.

Sorry, Sam, "zero" isn't the correct answer.

Indeed, Sanity, the number of soldiers the Tor initially gave Joyse is about the same as the number of soldiers the Termigan brought with him to aid in the Battle of Esmerel.

A reminder that it's perfectly all right in this game, to look up the answers.

If he's half-right, do we let him ask half a question? ;)

I've got half a mind to follow that suggestion...🤔

Or we could and give him a chance to double-down and come up with the right answer.

Umm 50?

Just kidding folks!!

I will say 200

Fun fact ( I know you didn't ask but thought I am telling anyways) the reason I guessed 100 was in some military circles 100 is how many soldiers comprise a squadron and I thought that seems reasonable :D

You've got it, Sam! While bringing 100 soldiers (a squadron) to the Battle of Esmerel might have seemed a reasonable contribution for the Termigan, he doubled-down on that strategy, for he felt he had little to lose once Sternwall had fallen. So he arrived with 200 warriors (plus Myste and Darsint).

Your question, Sam! :)

Sorry! Forgot it was my question.

Scene specific question - with various degree of difficulty

1. Who provided Saddith weapon against Lebbick (pretty easy)

2. What was the weapon (probably easy)

3. Where was weapon aimed (aimed may not be the correct word - since act of fury/passion - but not sure better word to use) [probably a little difficult]

4. Who stopped Saddith from her objective? (somewhat hard?)

If I see getting all 4 questions is too difficult I will go for getting three correctly.

Hi Sam,

I appreciate your effort here, but I would suggest picking one of these as your official question for this round and saving the others for another turn.

I'm not opposed to questions that require some level of specific detail, or multiple answers (i.e. name X of the Y elements that meet a certain criteria), but using multiple independent questions as a single item to increase "difficulty", even if the things are sequential or related, can be counterproductive. By asking something like this, you're eliminating 3 potential additional rounds of quizzing, and potentially discouraging some participants who might have answered a single element, but didn't even try because they didn't know 2 of the 4, and don't have time to go back and research.

There's no harm in posting a softball question (it encourages people who might be on the sidelines to answer). Or posting one that is related to a preceding question.
