Why can't this forum be more like the "Rebel Alliance" forum in "Sci/Fi-Fantasy"?

Uhh, I better not tell you as you're a Sith Lord, and as such, you probably are dedicated to the destruction of the Rebel Alliance. :screwy:

Did I ever delete any of your posts individually? Ever? No. And your acting quite like a child here dAN. And that fact you TOLD me to delete some makes it more pathetic. And you have posted there in the last four months. :P

he deleted it. *sigh* Shame, I like it when he posts here.

I didn't delete all your posts... Where did you get this idea from. In fact, I deleted more of my own than yours. Are you always this paranoid? :?

If you were to have guest appearences by some of the original cast fo Star Wars, that would make this a better forum.

Perhaps we would be better served with a Cult Sci Fi forum rather than limiting it just to Trek and Star Wars. I feel like I've had just about every Star Wars discussion I'm ever going to have (until the next film comes out, at least) and although I like Star Trek, I'm more passionate about Blake's 7 and Babylon 5. The Sci Fi/Fantasy discussion forum seems to be orientated towards literary discussion, so I think we'd all be better served by bringing anything about Red Dwarf/HHGTGG/Buffy/Stargate etc here instead.

Thanks for your suggestions, Nav. A Cult Sci-Fi forum sounds cool to me: there would be a lot of unexplored territory there for discussion. My feeling, however, is that the SW/ST forum should remain a distinct entity: it is large enough by itself that opening the floodgates to Buffy and company may make for a bloated body of discussion threads--which was the reason for Star Trek's removal from the Sci-Fi/Fantasy forum in the first place. So perhaps a separate Cult Sci-Fi forum to complement the SW/ST forum?

Well maybe Buffy would be a bridge too far, but there aren't a lot of B5/Farscape/B7 threads kicking around so I wouldn't have thought it would bloat this forum too much. It would probably still be a good idea to move topics of that nature out of Sci Fi/Fantasy though. I'd say we run the risk of either creating a rather weak additional forum or overloading this one depending on how we did it.

We need more Blake's discussion though, now that it's out on DVD and younger generations can see just how damn good it was.

Actually, I have no real problem with changing SW/ST into a general forum for sci-fi TV & movies, Nav. I've PMed Darth and TOM to see what they think about this. 8)

With all the buzz in the SRD forums, it's understandable that there are few posters right now in this corner of the Watch. You're one of those few, Dreaming, so welcome and thanks for checking things out here.

Also, as co-mod of this forum, I have been remiss in my duties in terms of generating discussion: Darth and TOM have a better knack for that than me. We shall see what the future holds.

RE: NAV'S SUGGESTION FOR CULT SCI-FI FORUM

After consultation with Jay, it's been decided that things will be kept as they are for now. It is felt that a forum like the one proposed occupies a grey area where there would be a lot of overlap between existing forums. It's recommended that folks continue posting cult sci-fi stuff to the TV and Flicks forums for now, to see what degree of interest there is. If there is a sufficiently large body of cult sci-fi discussion within those forums, then we will revisit the question of a new forum.

Sorry if I sound like a bureaucrat. Years of working in a quasi-governmental agency will do that to you.
