I too have seen that birdandbear! I fear for Susannah, but I fear more for our friend Eddie.

Wow! Forgot that the release date was so close. Be sure that I'll have my copy on that date!
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. A mere three weeks, fellow Tower questers! Are we going to do a reading group, or just disappear for a few days while we finish it. I think instituing a policy of non-spoling will be important.

I got my copy of Wolves at Wal-Mart for thirty percent off. I'm hoping they carry Song of Susannah, too.

It's a good thing King and Donald M. Grant don't know what they COULD charge me for a copy. :P

Not only is the first chapter of Runes up on the net, but so it the first chapter (stanza) of Susannah!!!

STAVE: Commala-come-come
There's a young man with a gun.
Young man lost his honey
When she took it on the run.

RESPONSE: Commala-come-one!
She took it on the run!
Left her baby lonely but
Her baby ain't done.

:faint:
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

I'm debating whether to read it or not. Is it going to make the wait even more excruciating? :Help:

No, I'm still fighting the urge, for fear it will only make the wait worse. :goodnevil:

You speak true. Once the book is out, do you want to do a chapter by chapter discussion or wait until all have read?

If the book is 400 pages, I estimate it will take me four or five days to read. I tend to savor the Dark Tower. So I will avoid reading discussions prior to about June 15, for fear of spoilers, even inadvertent ones. :fim:
