Real Life Potential Of The Venerable Hydro-Spanner!

Post by dANdeLION »

(I'm assuming that Hydro-Spanner means hydraulic adjustable wrench here)
I was just thinking about how tough it is to adjust a crescent wrench sometimes, especially if you're trying to loosen/tighten a bolt in a hard-to-reach place. But if you had a little switch that opened or closed the jaws, instead of that little twirly thing, things would be a lot easier. Heck, the jaws could even lock onto the nut so it wouldn't fall off and get lost! Even better, the switch could be located at the butt end of the spanner, as opposed to the jaw end, facilitating much easier access to the adjustment device. THis could be an exciting new invention; my only concern is would the inventor have to pay George Lucas royalties?

Wow, dAN. You just blew my mind. This is a very interesting possibility. You might get a patent for this idea if you hurry. Run! :D

Are we even sure the Hydro part stands for Hydraulic? Maybe the thing was water-powered.
