Greetings from Texas
Hi, all -- my name is Bev Vincent and I'm new here as a poster, though I browse from time to time. I'm the author of the upcoming The Road to the Dark Tower (details in sig), which is an authorized exploration of Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Out two weeks from today!
I started the Covenant series while the Second Chronicles were being published and recently reread the first six books before I tackled The Runes of the Earth, which I loved. Looking forward to the final three volumes over the next nine years.
I couldn't find mention of this elsewhere, but did you all know about the Donaldson cover interview in the current issue of Locus magazine? See www.locusmag.com for details.
See y'all around!

Hey Bev,
Thanks for the info and welcome to the finest on-line community, bar none.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
