I use dial-up with NetZero. compared to other providers, it sucks, but it works well enough and the price is right ($10 a month). my browser is... I click on the E (6 point something)
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I use AOL 7.0. Some people (like me) are so technologically incompetant that we NEED the "internet on training wheels".
About half of my friends and family also use AOL, so the buddy stuff is very nice. The only frustrating thing for me is that the other half of my friends all use Yahoo, and I can't IM with them.
If you want to use yahoo and AIM (as well as MSN messenger, ICQ, and IRC) at the same time check out Trillian. It's not too hard to get the hang of.

At work I'm happily on DSL using verizon ISP. At home I'm stuck with dial up. That should change soon and I'll be able to post just as many comments from home as I do from work.

LOL! That's a scary thing, TOM C. (Scary that you've been on dial-up at home all this time, and scary that you're about to switch to something faster!)
You're going to be off the charts--even Darth's pie charts...
We will see what the true effect will be, MM. My family occupies a great deal of my free time at home. What will really blow things open for me will be when I build my new home next year. I will have my own office filled with books, computers and music equipment. I hope to really get busy writing (with some great tips from SRD) and I expect my participation on the watch will benefit as well. Heres to the future!
