I think it's high time the Haruchai started doing their own will, rather than protecting and following. But HOLY COW!!!!! Buncha wackos!!!! Serving Corruption, indeed!!!! That they can't see the glaringly obvious flaw with their plan, which Linden points out nicely, is... I don't know what to call it. I suppose we'll have to blame it on the fact that it's the first time we're aware of that they did not put someone else's will above their own. Just too inexperienced at decision-making I guess.
But I'm very happy the Haruchai are still the physical perfection that we've come to know and love. Stave's fights, his way of ignoring pain that might outright kill anyone of another race, the way he runs effortlessly up the mountain while carrying Linden, the way he ignores the cold... Ah, it's a beautiful thing!!!

Interesting that SRD is showing us so much of what the Haruchai can perceive with the health sense. I always figured that, in the 2nd Chrons, they simply walked around without knowing that others had to be on stone during sunrise, and nothing happened. But now it seems possible that they knew what was about to happen, understood that it would not bother them, and just went about their business. Amazing how well they can see, even through Kevin's Dirt!
