The Haiku Game

Post by The Pumpkin King »

This is a game that I learned from the Brunchma Boards (The message boards that originally were from the wonderous website Brunching.com)

Since I didn't see such a game here, I guess I'll make a post, though, being a newer member, I'm loathe to do such...

In essence, it's played simply. One person makes a haiku, and then the person after them makes another, using the last line of the previous haiku as the first line of theirs. It's great fun, and often hilarious, once it gets going.

So, let's get it started!

Today, I vanished
into the mists, discovering
a rubber duckling.
Go Godzilla, go!
Jurassic Lizard Superstar Hero
Go Godzilla, go!
For the people, for the planet!

(okay, you left this one at impossible. Don't groan, this keeps it going)

Slips between my hands,
undershirts under my arms,
I'm doing laundry.

Life is wonderfull
With a slip under my hands
I'm getting lucky
I thought you were a ripe grape
a cabernet sauvignon
a bottle in the cellar
the kind you keep for a really long time

I'm getting lucky
Every day I smile and laugh
I make my own life

Gone over the edge
Like a beached whale, sun-drying.
Might as well relax.
