Ur-Viles Creation

Post by balon! »

Ok, so we all know that the ur-Viles were made by the Demodim, but what I noticed this time around in The Illearth War, is this:
"With this he (Loric) slew the Demodim guise of moksha Raver, and delivered the Land from the first great peril of the ur-Viles.
Does this classify that Demodim WERENT the ones that made the ur-viles, at least not entirely? Moksha HAD to have had hand in it right?

If a Raver was present in the body of a Demodim at the FIRST battle and with the FIRST set of Ur-Viles, doesn't this just seem to much of a Cooikidink?

Help enlighten this one guys and gals.

This is a referance to Moksha in the body of an ur-Vile. Ravers have no body of there own so they must enter the bodies of living beings to have a form. I beleave the Demodim are said to have created the ur-Viles. Ravers don't create anything but a bad time for all involved. They are not makers but destroyers.

No, no not what i meant at ALL. I meant that moksha THROUGH the body of the Demodim could have had a part in the creation of Ur-Viles, i mean, what better to create ur-viles than a RAVER?

I can't remember where this is, but somewhere it says that moksha led either the Viles or the Demondim to their breeding dens, and that is how the ur-viles were formed.

Yup. I remember that passage pretty clearly and it was said that moksha lured the "powerful and austere Demondim to their breeding dens and the first spawning of ur-viles".

I guess the idea is that the Demondim were the actual creators of the ur-viles but it was moksha's influence that caused them to do it in the first place.

Spoilers, HLT. You're in the wrong forum to be discussing some of that...
