About the third Chronicles

Post by caamora »

I just had a thought: (I know, I know - I'm thinking again!)

What if Linden witnesses the RoD? She can time travel now. She has entirely too much power now to change the history of the Land.

I'm sure many of you have already thought about this, though. I'm a little late.
The King has one more move.

caamora,

I think that's a strong possibility! I have a feeling that we'll be seeing a lot of key points in the Land's history. It's going to be very interesting.

I know, without question, that I can't ever anticipate too much of what SRD will do, so I haven't really considered what Linden would and wouldn't be witnessing. So this is a new thought to me. Intriguing, to say the least! She met Kevin in WGW, and might use whatever familiarity of him she gained from the encounter to get his attention.
All lies and jest
Still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest

It seems to me that Linden could very well be on the path to becoming another Kevin. I am sure this has been mentioned elsewhere, but to have all the power that she posesses, and yet at the same time to be powerless, is the makings of despair.

She herself admitted that the fate of the Land is a distant second to the retrieval of her son. With the stubborness and power she posesses, does she still have it in her to make wise decisions?

Could the ultimate fate of the Land actually be a repeat of history? Could Linden bring forward in time the RoD itself? Guided and intensified by Lord Foul to not only destroy the Land, but the Earth itself?

I would take great care in choosing the past to which I travel if I were her.

"Carrion, my wayward son."
"Will there be pieces when you are done?"
