OK, next trivia question:

Before the battle of Soaring Woodhelven, Lords Tamarantha and Variol got into an argument with Lord Mhoram. What was the argument about?

He knew that they were going to sacrifice themselves, and didn't want them to?

Well if you're just going to repeat my answer with fancy words, I might make fun of you...
But if you know the real answer (as I just guessed) feel free to elaborate in a non-threatening sort of way. 8)

But keep it up, and I may just steal your lunch money

I am back! I went skiing at Mammoth this past week on vacation, so I didn't get a chance to see the Watch for a whole week!!! WOW!! Talk about my Thomas Covenant withdrawals... <grinning>

AND my ChoChiyo withdrawals... where IS the love of my life anyway???

Ah, so I see that Drew and dlbpharmd have answered the question to the best of your knowledge! <grin> Close enough... the way LFB reads, Lords Variol and Tamarantha were arguing with Lord Mhoram about SOMETHING, but we the readers weren't privy to that conversation. It can be inferred that they were saying that it was time for their sacrifice.

Onward to new trivia! Here we go!

Who said that the Earth was made as a jail and a gallow-fells by the Master in order to exact retribution on a-Jeroth?

The Clave: it was their way of explaining why the Land was blighted by the Sunbane.

Sum sui generis

You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

yep that would be my answer to.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

It would be my answer as well, but it's not, since it's variol son's answer.

Who actually said it, though? Was it Memla?

BTW, MRK.....I'd put in a good word for you with Cho....but I don't know too many words. ;)

The last line of the "Diassomer Mininderain" song ends with

“Thus Earth became a gallow-fells,
For a-Jeroth of the Seven Hells.”

Sunder sang this to Linden.

Wow!! You guys are too cool!!! You got it right... it was contained in the Rede of the Clave, and the first mention of a-Jeroth was the night in Sunder's prison.

OK... onward to the next question!

What does ChoChiyo wear under her fuzzy bunny... Whoops, wrong thread... My bad...

On to the REAL next question!

What two reasons were given to Covenant for the lack of hurtloam before his trip to defeat Lord Foul?

receded because of the lack of the SoL. It was working against the norm ie helping foul?

Good guesses guys...

Triock said in PTP that the hurtloam had receded because of Lord Foul's winter, or that it had been slain. <grin>

OK... next question!

Drool Rockworm had a special way of calling his ur-viles, griffins, and Cavewights to Mount Thunder. What was it?
