The Mysteries and Conspiracies forum

Post by Revan »

I posted this idea to day about a week ago. And he seemed to like it. I convinced him to make me mod.

Now, the conspiracies part of the forum is pretty much self-explanatory; talk about the ones you've heard, what you think the likely hood of them being real and so on. The mysteries can range anything from the Pyramid Mysteries, Atlantis, Ghosts. Things of that sort.

Remember this is a serious forum. The Collective forums tend to be just that. If we talk about September the 11th, jay pointed out that people could get pretty heated. Be careful not to offend when discussing such things.

Have fun. :D

There's a thread in the Tank about the Kennedy assasination. Does that belong here?

How about Spontaneous Human Combustion?
How could that happen when the human body is mostly water?
But there some documented cases out there.
(The Belgium woman in 1997 whom survived with burns over 30% of her body
is the most recent that I've heard.)

Because of the fats in the body.

BINGO! Someone does know. Fat creates it's own oxygen to burn.
I used to read about different theories back in the mid to late 70's
about this subject. (Though I've forgotten most of what I had read)

Spontaneous combustion is nothing. Try spontaneous invisibility.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Fat creates it's own oxygen to burn.
Where on earth did you get that? The ratio of oxygen to carbon and hydrogen in fat is way to low to provide even a moderate combustion. Besides, the lack of oxygen is hardly the problem if you burn on the outside.
