I didn't drink my first coffee until I was 20. And then only because I was at a coffee house with some college friends, and they refused to serve me a hot chocolate without a shot of espresso in it.

Now, I can't function without my first cuppa joe in the morning.

Beware the evil bean... ;)

...Oy...

...He couldn't even wait until the traditional after Thanksgiving dinner offering with the slice of pumpkin pie...

Today Hyperception saw the first bottles of Gustafson eggnog in the dairy case, and there was no talking him out of downing the entire quart bottle in 10 minutes.

So...a week early...the holidays are upon us.

...let the annual weight gain begin...

Yikes, that must be a whole lotta calories. I love eggnog, but in moderation - as with anything else.

Yes, 'tis the season...I will get some 'nog soon myself... :)

I can't even *imagine* chugging eggnog. Ick.

I've been getting the lite version from Safeway. It's not too bad. It doesn't usually last long enough in our house for me to have time to doctor it up.

I remembered the eggnog at Thanksgiving but forgot to buy the sparkling cider. I am under strict orders to remember to get sparkling cider for Christmas. :)

Yes, ma'am, I bought some cider as well. I've declared my love for it before in the appropriately titled CIDER thread...but I'll happily say it again:

I love cider! Far better than that odious brew known as beer. Strongbow Cider is my favorite.

I bought a 2-litre carton of eggnog.

Cider and eggnog. What more do I need for Xmas?

Oh yeah...Chocolates. :D

Ah, yes. Thank you kindly. I shall hunt for sugar plums!

As for the fairies...as long as they don't bother me, I won't bother them. :P

Well...if I'm not going to make my own eggnog,
there's nothing like Gustafson Farms with a good hit of Mount Gay Barbados Eclipse Rum and fresh shavings of nutmeg kernal with my microplane in a frosty mug.

...hopefully I won't be getting too silly in an hour's time or so...

I've nearly finished the eggnog. I'm tempted to go buy another carton. That and cider to keep me merry through the January blahs.

LOVE that eggnog, alcohol-infused or not, but I try not to drink too much of it over the holidays, 'cause it's got lots of calories in it. Tasty stuff, though!

I've always thought that any combination of alcohol and dairy is ghastly, but I like the non-alcoholic sort of eggnog. I usually buy one small carton per year, and that's more than enough. Did notice it in the market last week and wasn't in the mood at the time (which is unusual - I typically look forward to it), but I will probably buy some while it's in season, and will indeed toast MM and our other MIA folks.

Dam-sel and Menolly would add Kahlua to that list.
