Well, a month after the Watchy winners were announced, I approached ~jay about the new item tag for the winners. I even created one myself for the purpose, although it would not be the "official" one. I asked if I could suggest winners post it in their signature, but never got an actual answer on that, just the assurance that the item tag would be eventually added to the stores.Menolly wrote:Yes, there will be an item tag which you can put under your avatar, which will be available in The Watchy Store once created and uploaded by ~jay.
It looks like all of the 2007 Watchie tags were claimed, but you can see the ones created for 2005, 2006 and 2008 in the store still.
~jay does have good, valid reasons for why he has not gotten around to uploading the tag; I do not resent his business. But I also feel you 2009 winners have waited long enough. Please check your PMs in the next few minutes for the code to the tag items I created and feel free to post it in your signatures until the official item tag is uploaded. I will claim responsibility for this should ~jay ask it to be removed.

Well, there is also that dissertation hanging over the future doctor ~jay's head...
wayfriend wrote:But seriously, shouldn't this be something that we should have more than one person able to do it?
I'm pretty sure Vain used to be able to upload item user tags to the stores, but he lost that ability when he stepped down to mod from admin. I have no idea if danlo or Av can create or upload item tags, or if not, why they can't.

A big congratulations to all the nominees, and thank you, everyone, for nominating, voting, commenting, and otherwise making the Watch something to celebrate.
And hey, only a month and a half until we get to do it all over again.

Except for Watcher of the Year, all votes have been confirmed by my co-mod.

Gratz all!
And Holy Crap! I won one! thanks all!
And...most of the categories were tough for me to decide votes...
but I purely HATED having to decide in the Newbie category.
OTOH I wish real world elections always came down to tough choices between really worthy candidates.

Congrats to all the nominees, and especially to the winners. Y'all rock.
And thanks, you guys, for voting for me. (This will totally make up for getting voted out of Survivor in the current round. )

No, voting has not yet begun...and even if ali lacks faith in her game submission, the Staff of Immunity questions were less difficult this time than in the last round. Note that ali was one of those who had a hand on the Staff last round...so she may well also grip it this time.
