I like to listen to these video game music themes. They're great little pieces for comparing production sound. I never really get my music close to a professional sound, but, often get something reasonably noteworthy.

Which is after all what comping is for.

Coheed and Cambria + Mastodon + Primus + Tool + Mutoid Man Cover RUSH's "Anthem"

My brain is having such an epic fangirl meltdown that I can't remember how to change the wording of the link.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

What a fascinating modern age we live in!

I must have played this supercool Tom Petty vid a hundred
times, yet can't remember ever noticing this frame of some
guy flat on his back with his fist covered in blood.
This, funny MTV friendly, video was shot entirely in
black and white except for the odd, rather unsettling moment.

Incidently, Pink Floyd also recorded a song called Learning to Fly,
a few years earlier.

Picked up The Psychedelic Furs Made of Rain today, their first studio album in 30yrs.
Saw, Owl City ocean eyes (practically giving it away for pocket change), so ... listening to this one instead.

I'd like to make myself believe that planet earth turns slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep

- Fireflies

EDIT: Adam Young is a big softie. His voice can hit a feminine tone so closely that it sounds like it has been engineered and sample mixed to produce the effect. However that may be it's quite rad either way!

Heard 'Guts Over Fear' Eminem (ft Sia), at the end of the Equalizer film.
Love him or hate him you have to admire his honesty, and respect his lies.

Listening to 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' from the Propellerheads.

I didn't know this song existed until searching for a reply to the Mallory's 'Song Title' game. This Bond movie happens to be my favourite - because of the theme music. Made the hair on my scalp tingle when I was a kid, and to this day it still does.

Queen of Them All by Neil Young. Has a super-dooper drum intro ... inspirational!

Sadly these are not in production on Vinyl so it will be used or way overpriced. We will see what they come up with.
I ended up getting a Master recording, used. The sound is just incredible. It quickly became my favorite album. The Cover is worn but the LP's are in great condition.

Enjoying some Steve Hillage ambient in the form of “Rainbow Dome Musick”. Perfect backdrop while spending time in the land!

Obsessing over this epic video of Lauren Daigle, "Rescue":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PugD11k3JU

You are not hidden.
There's never been a moment
You were forgotten.
You are not hopeless,
Though you have been broken,
Your innocence stolen...

You're not defenseless
I'll be your shelter
I'll be your armor

inkinen- greets! Saw you around and wanted to welcome you to the Land.
inkinen wrote:Perfect backdrop while spending time in the land!
so, welcome!
Welcome and be well-fed, erm, I mean... well come. Yeah, that's it! "Be well come!"
(I guess there's a reason I'm not the main greeter!)
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."

Great guitar solo at the end of Thor

I’m not a fan of heavy death metal vocals but enjoyed War Kings

Jamey Johnson- In Color , Farm aid 2018

I said, "Grandpa what's this picture here?
It's all black and white, and it ain't real clear
Is that you there?" He said "yeah, I was 11"
"Times were tough back in '35
That's me and uncle Joe just tryin' to survive A cotton farm
In a great depression
If it looks like we were scared to death
Like a couple of kids just tryin' to save each other
You should've seen it in color"
"Oh, and this one here was taken over seas
In the middle of hell in 1943
In the winter time
You can almost see my breath
That was my tail gunner ol' Johnny Magee
He was a high school teacher from New Orleans
And he had my back
Right through the day we left
If it looks like we were scared to death
Like a couple of kids just tryin' to save each other
You should've seen it in color"
A picture's worth a thousand words
But you can't see what those shades of gray keep covered
You should've seen it in color
"This one is my favorite one
This is me and grandma in the summer sun
All dressed up
The day we said our vows
You can't tell it here but it was hot that June
And that rose was red and her eyes were blue
And just look at that smile
I was so proud
That's the story of my life
Right there in black and white"
And if it looks like we were scared to death
Like a couple of kids just tryin' to save each other
You should've seen it in color
Yeah, A pictures worth a thousand words
But you cant see what those shades of gray keep covered
You should've seen it in color
(Should've seen it in Color)
We miss you Tracie but your Spirit will always shine brightly on the Watch Image

Listening to some Samantha Fish:

FASTER
(Written by Samantha Fish, Martin Kierzenbaum)

Come on, right here, I'm gonna be a little forward
So shy, locked eyes, why you sitting in the corner
I'll be nice, I won't bite, can ya come a little closer?
It's alright, I just might be the type to wanna be a little bolder

I wanna ooh, I wanna ooh
You're gonna ooh
That's how I'll make your heart beat faster, faster
I wanna ooh, I wanna ooh
You're gonna ooh
That's how I'll make your heart beat faster, faster

Oh well, do tell, do you need some motivation
Come here, right now cause I got an inclination
Let's fight and make up, like a story in a movie
One night, break up where ya, role play like a groupie
I wanna

I wanna ooh, I wanna ooh
You're gonna ooh
That's how I'll make your heart beat faster, faster
I wanna ooh, I wanna ooh
You're gonna ooh
That's how I'll make your heart beat faster, faster

I wanna ooh, I wanna ooh
You're gonna ooh
That's how I'll make your heart beat faster, faster
I wanna ooh, I wanna ooh
You're gonna ooh
That's how I'll make your heart beat faster, faster
