Seems interesting, but what's the breakdown? Is there a reference to, say, a hermit in Iceland to compare with?
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.โ€

Its a wonder that we manage to survive as a species. Could all this body pollution be mutating our genes and tranmutating us into a different life form? 8O
I`ve compiled a handy reference list of points to consider when trying to keep your body pollution free. It is by no means a conclusive list so if I`ve left something out- please add.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR BODY POLLUTION FREE.

Dos
*eat only organically grown food
*drink only purified water
*use only ceramic tiles on floors (i think)
*use only water to wash your body - anything else and your polluted
*leave any leaks in rooftop, showers, sinks etc - pollution
*use only water to wash your clothes
*if you have metal surfaces, leave them dirty

Don`ts
*glue anything and if you do, leave it there
*clean your VCR machines or tapes
*clean your CDs either
*clean any part of your car
*buy furniture made from wood, partcileboard, woollen, or synthetic fabrics
*shampoo or style your hair
*iron your clothes
*work in industry of anykind - you`re KAPUT for sure
*use pens or read newspapers
*paint or stain your houses
*clean your shoes

Sometimes I wonder if its worth getting up in the mornings when I read stuff like this. :(

DON'T

and this would be good why??

there'll be some very smelly human beings walking around .. who for sure would be adding to global pollutant levels

According to Pitchwife`s article there are chemicals in soap products, personal hygiene products, deordourants that contribute to the pollution of your body. You can`t even wash the car without somehow polluting your body with chemicals - hence if you use any type of cleaners eg car wash, engine cleaner etc, you run the risk of polluting your body with chemicals.

I guess its my sarcastic sense of humour. It seems that no matter what we do in our modern day lives, we seem to be exposing ourselves to some kind of chemical pollution.

It is interesting that they say that washing anything will pollute your body. When, in all actuality, washing your hands frequently is the best way to destroy bacteria and keep from passing them around.

That's why I get a tad cynical about these reports of stuff harming your body and such.
A simple act such as washing hands etc is supposed to be the most effective way in controlling the spread of bacteria, but in doing so we seem to be polluting our bodies with chemicals that can ultimately have a detrimental effect on our health - you just can't win. :?
