i love this web site and you can find all kinds of video on it but what i really really love are the music vids!!!

it doesn't have a HUGE collection yet but it does have some great rare and independant stuff!

this for instance...

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf-Q2rDd6Tw&search=beatles

some clips load slower than others...if you find you're having a problem, let the vid start playing then hit the pause button...the vid will then cache and you can start it over.

you're more advanced than a cockroach,

i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

I use that site all the time - they have everything from music, to TV, to movies, to interviews. It's great. That's a great clip, btw.

Speaking of YouTube, an online friend has issued a challenge.

Her daughter is an ice skater, and wishes to use the music in the background of this YouTube clip but has no idea of the title of the song, much less the artist who performs it. If you have sound editing software, and can edit out the narrative on top of the music, it might be more recognizable.

YouTube - 1998 Olympic Pair Intro

Does anyone recognize the song and artist?

Weird Al still has it. I was dying laughing... had me ROTFLOL. Probably because I saw too much of myself in in.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I agree, Weird Al's brilliance hasn't waned. Don't know what the original song was, though. (I'm out of touch)

I wonder about that user comment saying Weird Al deserves a place in hell for ruining good music. Talk about not getting the concept.

Hey, Luci, you must have seen a bunch of Crimso stuff on there too, eh? There is some really neat live stuff, and check out Kazumi Watanabe and his band doing some amazing covers of some Crimso songs!
(sorry, I don't have any links...)

You tube is great. I spent 2.5 hours on it one night without even realizing it. No wonder google has purchased it.

Yeah, I heard on the news that Google bought YouTube for some obscene amount of moolah, but I forgot the exact figure. In the hundreds of meeellions.
