I'm taking over for Kinslaughterer as league manager of The Watchers Fantasy Football League as we enter our, what (?), 6th or 7th year. I've changed nothing in the rules and, of course, the trade deadline and draft date are up to the consensus. I just sent invitations out to all of last year's 10 managers and I'm pretty sure that everyone will return, with one exception.

So we do have an open spot and would love some fresh blood. We can fill it, if necessary, but it is The WATCHERS league and we DO prefer Kevin's Watch members. PM me if interested and I'll get you the password and URL.

Oh, if you did it that way, then you sent it, but I didn't get it because I have no clue what that email address is. If you can tell me that, I can probably remember my password.....

Should be.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Christina will keep Gore, Mendenhall, and Matt Ryan.

Here's the latest for Rotowire on Davis:
"Davis will hopefully be back up to speed soon, calming fears that the ultra-athletic tight end would miss an extended amount of time. Expect Davis to be ready come Week 1."

I've got everyone's keepers set except for my friend Mike (his WHARF RATS making up our 10th team [some Grateful dead connection in the name]) I've emailed him again and am trying to call him.

I now have all the keepers set. I somehow found last year's standings, however I'm keeping the draft at random, unless a majority objects by Friday. I'm also proposing to reduce the bench to 5, but I am keeping the injured reserve.

I don't mind random as it's to my benefit but in a keeper league the worst team should always have the first pick. The last thing you want is having the worst team end up with the last pick through random luck.

Also, keep the bench at 5 and keep the DL.

Just my $.02.

My vote's against the bench reduction. The other 2 things are fine with me.

I'm open to keeping it at 7 but that takes a lot of fun o/o managing off the wire...on the other hand it does encourage trading....

I say keep the bench at 7 and take out the injured reserve. It never really served the purpose that it was intended too, anyway.

I also like the worst to first draft order at least for the first couple of rounds, and then the snake draft after the 2nd...if it can at all possibly be set up that way.
