So Gunslinger, looking at the teams, what do you predict for week 1 results?
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. I don't think you can look at it unless you're in it.
But here's a link:

Yes, it seems that I cannot weigh in on the rosters via a yahoo link. Send the rosters out to the watch, and I'll comment!

It is my storied belief that Thundercrunch and Brinn fared the best here. Both had the brain to not only pick Johnson and Tomlinson 2 & 3 (I would have picked LJ #1 over Alexander, btw kittens) AND they both took the best remaining backs aon the board by end of the 3rd knowing they would have to wait forever to get another crack at a RB.

The kitties waited until round 4, and then picked RUEBEN DROUGNS??? Too much time batting at yarn balls, kitties. Next time do some studying. He has no O-line!!! He'll be luckyto emass 100 yards.

Then Thundercrunch and Brinn both found GREAT mid-round steals/value. Chester Taylor in the 8th round? Sick. Brinn, I doff my cap to you, buddy!
Shockey and T-Housh in rounds 5 & 6? Wow.

As far as guys who picked late in round one (and if an owner here is good, championships can be won picking late) who missed out on the big early studs...the key is picking for value...that is understaning that at a certain point QBs and RBs are interchangleable and it is best to pick stud TEs, DFs, and Kickers to cpmate with the guys who picked early studs.

Looking at the late teams, it looks like Betthan Last Year ought to live up to his name. He took the 1st WR (Smith), got another top 10 WR in Ward, still got 2 better than average RBs. He looks a little weak at QGB as Bulger is the ultimate candy-bone. The gets hurt when the winds blows hard for crissake.

Thundercrunch is my favorite, followed by Brinn and Better. Then Clovis, then the rest of you are fairly equal. If I were the kitties, I'd consider trading for some depth at RB, or hitting the catnip and pretendsing all is well with his team.
Not seeing the divisions, I'd say its Thunder's to lose (on paper), but all should be somewhat competetive., though Leviathan and the Guzzlers look pretty lame.

Man I wish I was in with you guys.

Guns, for the record, my draft was auto-pick, I couldn't be there live. However, I agree, I got solid RB and WR, tho Bulger, Plummer and Volek aren't exactly superstars. However, if Plummer matches last year, he can hold his own against majority of QBs out there.

However, Brinn is praying for TO to work out. If not, he's really hurt in WR.

And Thunder is relying on Westbrook getting healthy, course, I hope so too, I'm an Eagles fan.

Old Lords, w/Davis and Palmer, could be top 3 or last place.

As for 1st 3 picks, I would've taken Alexander, then LT, then LJ. I think LJ may miss offensive coordinator and 2 retiring O-line, including one that was good, I think it was Roaf?

Alot has changed since the draft roster--I now have E. Wilford and A. Toomer at WR and S. McNair while dropping Bruce, Denver and S. Holmes.

I was going on recovery to greatness: J. Walker and a youth moment: Bush, Davis and Holmes--but I just couldn't hang with Holmes. I'm also hoping Addai has rough year and that it's Wayne's year to win the Manning TD derby. :P I've also had so many DAM mediocure TEs in the past two years--people like Bubba Franks, Pollard, Clark and Kleinsasser come to mind--that I said screw it I'm getting the two best. 8)

Yes it's Roaf, Green talked to him today to try to get him to come back--not likely though.

The Chiefs have a lot of depth on the line, and Edwards is going to give LJ the ball 25-30 times a game. I like the chances of his repeating a 20TD performance.

Danlo, Walker is coming off the knee...I just can't trust him this year, though living in WI I have seen him play in person a number of times. He is good. Bush, if he does more than 10 touches a game should pay you some dividends, but right now he is you #2, correct? T Jones will help.

One of you guys needs to snap up Greg Jennings, WR: Pack.

I'm not worried about Walker (I might be more worried about Rod Smith and Plummer) that's why I backed him up with Wilford. I think Leftwich will be better this year and with Smith gone--the world is Wilford's oyster (if he wants it). Yes Bush was a risk that's why I had to pick someone like Jones--I like what's happening right now in Chicago and I think Jones is so pissed and determined he'll have Benson for lunch this year.

Benson was another wasted pick by the Bears. Trust me, T Jones will be the starter there. Benson is immature and is hated by his teammates. Last week, rather than watch the game with his teammates, he left and weatched the game from the training room.

And two respected teammates ratted him out to the press--now that's a kiss of death if I ever heard one.

Be that as it may, yahoo STILL allows you to go in and rank your players ahead of the auto-draft, no? Drougns should have been near the bottom of anyone's list. No one should ever let the autodraft occur without firt ranking the players!!

To be honest, I forgot the Browns even existed, like most NFL fans. What make even less sense is that Drougns is on my 'can't cut' list......
