I might take a bit of flack for this, but....
I find that a lot of the actors mentioned, although extremely talented, might be considered too old to play Covenant, considering his age in the First Chronicles(which I believe was 35). I know for this forum that doesn't particularly matter. But keeping in line with what Covenants age would have be...

SRD has a meaning for the things he writes, he specifically mentioned Rogers eyes in the prolog and Mentions TC's eyes at the very end...Im not sure if it is Roger, but I dont believe in Coincidences. What did he say about Covenant's eyes? When I say he, I am referring to SRD. At the end of Runes L...

Murrin wrote: Esmer wasn't explored deeply enough to be as memorable as characters from the earlier books. I've mentioned it in other posts - Donaldson didn't seem to immerse us as deeply into the characters this time round, and the work has slightly less impact because of it. Agreed. I said Esmer ...

I was re-reading Runes for the third time, and suddenly , having turned the last page and going right back to the first page, I came upon something interesting in the text that I had missed the first 2 readings. I give you Linden in her office, speaking with Roger Covenant about releasing Joan to R...

Foul questions *spoilers*
I havent seen much on this topic posted anywhere yet, if it has I appologize. Foul mentioned that he had not caused any of the new problems with the land, that he had only "whispered in a few ears". Any ideas on the ones who Foul might be influencing are? we know he said the haruchai serve...

troys army
from what I remember troy lost closer to 3/4 of his army. He started off with close to 20000 and was down around 5000 by the end.
but... I still agree that he didnt lose... I mean who else in the land would have thought of that. any other plan could only have been worse off for the land.

One Forest
I have a theory that perahps the crafting of the Staff of Law also brought about the incarnation of the Despiser, who previously was “just” a implicit psychic force, without specific embodiment. But I don’t think the timeline would work out for the tale of Kelenbhrabanal. The Ramen and Ranyhyn are ...

its interesting how Covenants very first act in the land has led to so many problems. If he hadnt done that one thing how differant would the land be?

I read this forum several times per day, and the spoilers do not bother me. However, I do believe that some people have a legitimate gripe about the posting of thread titles that contain spoilers. But what really irritates me is that no one seems patient enough to read threads. Most people would ra...

covenant elohim
i dont believe it can be an elohim. If you remember when the elohim were taunting the first with what pitchwife would look like healed, the first said there was one thing they couldnt imitate about Pitchwife... his eyes. At the end of Runes Linden specifically mentiones something about Covenants eye...

haruchai
if that is the case, then anything or anyone that could fight despite, could also be turned to fight for despite, then with the Haruchai's ideals everyone and everything should be stopped or killed.

urviles
i dont believe it was Ranyhyn Haruchai or Linden that made the Fall go back to that point. I believe it was the Urviles. They were using there Power to Keep everyone safe in the fall, when Linden used the white gold to reverse the fall the urviles could have used there Lore to put them out at that d...

Mhoram
I took the markings a little bit differantly. Kind of like the worth or role one was going to play in the fight agaisnt Foul(or perhaps power). Mhoram recieved 2 markings (showing he would play an important part in the war(maybe by killing the raver) but covenant was almost covered by the markings. ...

white gold ring
but... we dont know if Roger is a tool of the despiser... therefore if white gold only depends upon the ring and whether someone is a tool, then roger could have brought his own white gold ring. Also Mhoram told Covenant that HE was the white gold. This suggests to me that there is something special...

Hi everyone, I cant believe we have to wait 3 years for the next book! Anyways I am looking for something new to read. (i have read TCOTC too many times to count, and the same thing for WOT. I have read all the shannara books(it passes the time) as well as the mordant need series and gap series. And...
