And I thought I was bored! lol. Although you do have some good points I'm still rather inclined to agree with your final statement.

Tell me, please, how that explains the simple fact that, with the exception of TC's Elohim-silence in TOT and a few other scattered incidents, the entire story line is from TC's point of view.

If it was a dream within a dream, how did Dr. Berenford find Linden in the clearing after Covenant was dead?

Are you saying that Linden didn't actually go to the Land? If it was only in TC's head how did she possibly have memories of the occurences there? If it's all in TC's head then there are plenty of logic holes that are on a scale far beyond Covenant. As an after thought, might I point out that before...

But if TC stood up for himself then the story would have been different and wouldn't have lasted as long because he would have fought Lord Foul (and probably lost) in the beginning

Well TC did believe it before TPTP. It said he was waiting for the summons for crying out loud. That and after getting my butt kicked by a church group I would carry a gun around if not for the Land but for my protection. And KAY1- not to disprove my point but the events in the Land while Covenant i...

In my opinion, if Troy was an extension of Covenant, the book would not have had a section from his point of view. So I feel it is safe to assume that the land is real based on the fact that Linden sees exactly the same things as Covenant and that the characters in the "dream" have thought...

I personally liked what Manson did with Resident Evil. I think it would be great if we could get something similar going for TCTC it would sound great. Just throw a couple other "strange" artists into the mix and give them creative freedom and it would have a great other-worldly sound to it.

Sorry Matrix. It wasn't my intention to start anything like that. But i would just like to point out that LOTR came before SW if i remember correctly. Plz start a new thread on storyline similarities if you would like to take this further, Wayfriend. I'd be happy to join if you did.

Gollum was a deformed non-human. Facial expressions for other races are open to interpretation, are they not? So it doesn't really matter what they looked like especially since Smeagol was the comic relief character for the movie. He probably was similar to Drool. I don't know about anyone else but ...

or just animation (Shrek was a good example) to ensure continuity and not have to worry about any possible clash of the two. All animation would be better than all live action.

I'm not so sure. many a movie has been ruined because an actor could not convey the emotion/expression of the role well enough and assuming we get unknowns to play the parts to help make it seem more real than if famous people were used, they very likely don't have much experience. Animation on the ...

Perhaps. but i have yet to see an anime that is not overly dramatic. I'm sorry but no anime show i've seen has made it though without screen shots or certain dialogue that, when attempted to be taken seriously, always brings a smile to my face. And even if its done well, the art is not realistic eno...

Having a live action Foamfollower shouldn't be a problem. Look how they handled size differences in LOTR's and the hobbits compared to Men-folk and Elves and Orcs? Actually, I don't think the size was handled well at all. In most of the scenes the hobbits are slightly taller than a mans waist but i...

At what point would you get fed up with Covenant?

What action did Covenant take that, assuming you were a character, you would have decided it was time to put the Unbeliever in his place?

If you think about the skill of modern day animators, it can be made to look real enough without providing any contrast to CGI. While watching the commercials for The Polar Express, I found myself trying to remember the actor who played Santa. It took a while to remember it was animated. I don't thi...

Animated or Live-action?

Many people have been talking about who they would like to see play each character. Others worry about too much CGI. But has anyone thought that maybe an adult animated movie might do the trick? Computer graphics have gotten good enough to make it appear somewhat real anyway.
