Don't know. I haven't seen most of his movies. In fact Signs might be the only one I've seen. He also made that movie Lady in the Water though.

First Read - The Bonehunters: Book 6 - of the Malazan

Ya, not only is god trying to make sense of it if he/she exists, but so are we. Like water, it can be contaminated, but it can never go off. Hah that's funny. In "Signs", an M Night Shamylan (spelling?) movie, they attack aliens with water because somehow the aliens have some kind of aller...

First Read - The Bonehunters: Book 6 - of the Malazan

Was it a K'Chain Che'Malle ? --A Now I have to admit that I don't know WHAT it was anymore. I actually think I remember thinking this at some point. Someone once said the K'Chain Che'Malle were the demons of Wu's World. But I don't think it was actually a K'Chain, because it has a magical ability t...

You actually may recognize that creature from House of Chains.

First Read - The Bonehunters: Book 6 - of the Malazan

So this is non-spoiler because it goes back to House of Chains, but I'll post it here because Mogara appears in The Bonehunters too. I wonder if Mogara is a d'ivers ascendant now? In Deadhouse Gates soletaken and d'ivers were supposed to follow the path of hands, but Shadowthrone and Azath (and poss...

What is Information?

At the most micro-level you can imagine, matter does not seem to be anything other than information. I'm not sure about this. I don't understand much of what you guys are talking about for sure, but let me object. I see online in dictionaries that information is frequently defined as something perc...

Something I didn't like about the end of the book (related to "power levels"):
Spoiler
Brys seems respectful of Moroch's skills and doesn't think it would be an easy duel. But Moroch has huge trouble slaying Rhulad, while Brys seems to do it effortlessly. Maybe a matter of emotions.

First Read - Midnight Tides: Book 5 of the Malazan

I'm starting to think Midnight Tides is actually my fave Malazan book. Just finished it. Not liking The Bonehunters that much so far, but I've got plenty to go. Regarding The Little Mermaid (spoilers for near the end of the book when Crippled God tries to do something for Withal): So Sandalath Druko...

Two things from early in the book (like before you even see Letheras or any of the Beddicts): First off, I never noticed that in the earlier parts of the book, there's a chapter opener that refers to Rhulad's to-be-sword as a spear of Ice, and Hannan Mosag also refers to it as such. This was probabl...

Regarding Tavore and the cull of the nobles (this comes VERY late in this book, so probably just come back if you're not quite done with HoC. I'm sure we all know that Felisin ended up in the Otataral mines because of Tavore, and Baudin was also put there specifically due to Tavore. Here's my issue ...

Regarding Onrack and Tool. I'm pretty sure in Memories of Ice, they say that Tool's significance is because his clan was killed besides Kilava (incidentally, Kilava did the killing) and then the Ritual made him the only isolated Imass. But then it turns out Onrack is clanless, but he isn't singular ...

The Problem of Hamlet

Well I think Damelon offered a good hint, though I won't necessarily elaborate regarding why. Maybe it's about class? Maybe Hamlet is more willing to kill those he did kill because they're of a lower class than him. While his uncle is a member of the royal family.
