That we despise Covenant, yet still read the story is a tribute to SRD's genius. Covenant, to me, is the ultimate anti-hero. I do not like him, not even from the start. I find it hard to sympathize with him, and there were several times he needed the $h*t beat out of him. But I wanted him to succeed...
