His trilogy based on ancient British Isles mythology is some of the best writing in the genre:

Newcomer here, but an old Donaldson fan.

Read the First Chronicles way back in the early 80s, the second Chronicles a few years later, and just finished Fatal Revenant.

Really enjoyed the Gap series and the Mirror stories as well.
