The thing that drew me to this at first (and I believe I was the first to ask this question?) kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16085 was this. (quote from my original post) “ Why did the Theomach really stop roger going back to the time of Damelon on there trip to Melenkurion Skyweir?. ...

Great ideas High Lord Tolkien.

All sound feasible to me.

Keep them coming.

The more I think about it, the more i cant believe the original staff was a branch off the one tree. It just does not ring true for me, that Berek would hack a branch off it. Or the guardian/worm would allow it. Especially without any white gold, how can you cut the one tree up? Lindens staff was th...

I suspect the Elohim can see the future to an extent. Although they are complacent about there ability. They don’t have a problem with roger and co going back in time with linden, because they have seen the outcome. However. There is the ability of lindens son to consider here. We are told he can cr...

The description of the font producing the earthblood sounded a lot like Orcrest to me.
Translucent rock etc.
I suspected at the time that it was close to, if not the one stone.
Maybe the pure earthblood produces it?

Are the Ravers related to the Insequents?
Maybe there parents?
There power comes from somewhere.

(Sorry if this is off topic)

I suspect he will have lost his memory of his time in the arch.
Otherwise he would be way to powerful.
So he may be the guy we knew at the end of the 2nd chronicles.

The Theomach does not defeat the Elohim. He incorporates it into the making of the staff.
That’s a requirement for creating a staff of law?.
Just a guess.

Sorry if this has already been guessed at, I’ve not had chance to read the whole thread.

Thanks for the link wayfriend, Ill be sure to have a look. I see you point Ninjaboy. Your saying Kevin was fouls tool to achieve desecration. Therefore Kevins ultimate failure was being manipulated into achieving fouls main goal. (so he would have been better just fighting to the death) but had kevi...

I think Kevin receives a rather bad press. What does any leader do when faced with certain defeat?. You lose the battle to win the war. Kevin did just that. He warned the land of what was to come. He preserved his lore for future generations. And sent the Bloodguard and Ranyhyn to safety. I know its...

Good points made here. I still feel it’s a possibility though. Someone mentioned the bands around the original staff, and that sparked another thought. If the two staffs are the same, then what are they? How about the manacles the Ur viles have constructed?. I’m probably flogging a dead horse here I...

Greetings fellow fans. What a joy to discover this forum! I’m Borric, and a pleasure to meet you all. I’m 40 years old, English and married. I read lord fouls bane when I was 20?. Something like that. (How the years fly) After going to a book signing. It was mentioned that Mr Donaldson had a website...

Staff of Law

Is there only one Staff of Law? (apologies if this has already been discussed as I’m here here) By that I mean, Lindens staff will become Bereks staff. All she has to do is give it to Berek by going back in time at some point. We see Lindens staff becoming more and more like the original as times go...

The Manacles are for Roger. (I assume they would work by nullifying his Magma hand) When the Ur Viles came to protect linden (although Esmer stopped them) from being transported into the past by Roger and the Croyel they brought there manacles with them. Roger then said, they where meant for him. Ok...

I think you are on to something here. Although exactly what it represents is hard to say. What clues are we given (stephen always gives us the information, although its hard to see it for what it is until the books conclusion). The clues I see so far are. The car was dropped during the fight under M...
