Take for example Quantum mechanics. It's a great predictive tool (so I understand at least) but some of it's predictions are still (I believe) regarded as so outlandish that is is not highly likely that at some point a replacement theory/hypothesis will be put forward that will overturn it entierly...

Huh? Surely it's cheaper to buy the parts and assemble it yourself than to buy a PC off the shelf? --A Yah, Av, it is. But the "All-in-one" I am speaking of is a printer-scanner-copier-fax. I'm sorry, that's common usage here and I made the assumption it would be so pretty much everywhere...

All right. I am going to take a crack at this. Feel free to buzz me out. But I have been thinking. This is my best answer. Carmag. Scarab. Esmerel. Speaking of Esmerel, what was the cat's name on Smurfs? Something like that I think. But I am not sure if Esmerel is a town. Maybe is is just an estate...

Ooooh, Sarge - What a pretty picture. It's lovely. It would be nice to have a bit of that, but I have to admit that I would not want to live in it. I am a native Floridian and would have NO idea how to cope with that stuff! The thought of driving in it absolutely terrifies me. Everyone who lives in ...

Terisasmirror, that first "hug" pic you posted was a little creepy. 8O  LOL!! Sorry, I actually was google-ing images for "Disney Hugs" (believe it or not!), as I am a huge Disney fan. I thought I would throw in something really cutesy-sappy to make folks groan. And somehow...

My sister was born nerve deaf in one ear. As a result, as she was learning to speak she would not hear (or repeat) things properly. This led to her own little language. My mom compiled a dictionary of them at one point. Pretty much only one word from that childhood lexicon made it into our everyday ...
