I've actually never cared for Linden at all. Nothing about her invokes any kind of feeling whatsoever. She has a complete lack of personality about her in my mind. Her incessant introspection is exhausting. I neither root for her or against her.

You could also write it off to the Haruchai's interpretation of a summoning. Perhaps they only count actual successes rather than attempts.
