Sounds like it's covering much of the same material as Hobbit II will be ... but we can only speculate.Welcome to the website for The Hunt For Gollum; a 30 minute film inspired by The Lord of the Rings which is to be released to the internet for free on completion in early 2009.

Aside from these people not knowing how to cut a trailer (very slow paced), this actually looks quite good. The production looks outstanding. The actors look professional. Heck, I think I even like this Aragorn better than Viggo. The Gandalf sounds a little like McKellan, but since he looks different (less "Hollywood"), my first impression is that he is more believable. But that could fade as I become used to his look, and he seems less "exotic" or "strange." I remember being very impressed with the visuals coming out of pre-production in 1998 for LOTR, only to later become tired of the way the actors over-acted (Theoden, Aragorn, Arwen, Denethor, that elf with 5-o'clock shadow, etc.) after seeing it many times.
I can't believe they're giving it away for free. They obviously put a lot of time and money into this. I wonder how much they will preempt the Del Toro movies?

Joe Biden … putting the Dem in dementia since (at least) 2020.
It's there but it won't let me watch it.
Edit:
Never mind, I tried something else and now it's working.
I watched it, and think it's better than most other fan movies. However, I found the Aragorn unconvincing and wimpy. And the fight scenes are illogical (one should not use one's sword like a staff). But it was a fun way to spend 40 minutes.

EDIT - i quite enjoyed that.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Full of the heavens and time.

I dont know if anyone has checked out Born of Hope.
I quite enjoyed it.....I love watching Tolkien's stories come to life.
Although I have to say, Arathorn was not half the swordsman that his son was.

I really enjoyed Hunt for Gollum and I have to disagree about the actor who played Aragorn. He had HUGE shoes to fill and I thought he pulled it off.
