Okay, yes, it's frustrating. It's inconvenient.

tbh chatbane isn't all that bad. I've had a lot of good chats and gotten to know people there over the years. :D I even met Linna and SteveG the other day; lead to a voice chat with Linna that day. :D She's pretty epic. :)

StevieG is also gonna give me a job ;) :P

Ok so we should arrange another chat bane .. cos I misses all of you Watcher guys :(

mmm .. should we do it on a meaningful day 🤷‍♀️ like a ... oh I dunno .. a Tuesday or Friday ..

Yeah I know, I know .. theres nothing meaningful about either of those days .. but whatever

We need to get the baney event out .. market it, and see how many peeps we can get along .. but then .. just how many peeps can Chat bane cope with .. we do have a back up but that can only handle a few at a time .. not ideal .. 🤔 mmm .. what to do 🤷‍♀️

Worry about it when it starts crashing. :D Can always run a thread in parallel to the chat. :D

That sounds really fun, actually.

A real-time thread, where posts get added to on the scale of seconds... and you keep re-loading and see what one you'd respond to.

Skyweir- yeah, about capacity issues. nonetheless, 3-5 people is fun.
I also secretly delight in saying "okay I'll log off of this conversation so we can fit someone else in."

And besides, the problem that we may have too many people for a chat... I always like the saying:
"That would be a good problem to have."

Is Taz Marvin the Martian?
I always think of mailing Watchers who aren't super-active when we do a Watcher Chat.
At least lucimay. (haven't yet!) she enjoyed this bunches, if the tale be told from earlier pages in this thread. (or the other Watcher chat one)

In thinking about possible times... what time do you wake up in the morning, Sky?
And is that a time when you could get online or would have to do chores and/or breakfast first?
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."

Avs 0400hrs what ever time zone that was works well for me as its generally down time for me here .. which is abt 1400-1500hrs for me here.

Mornings are reasonably busy for me .. as thats when we start feeds .. if I have horses .. its an earlier start for me but wouldnt be able to chat for maybe 2hrs after I start.

Yes he is and you should. :D

04h15(ish) GMT is good for me on most any week-day. I might drop in and out depending on what else I have to do though. (Work, y'know...you can only skive off so much. ;) )
