Haha, mostly. But I wasn't 100% sure since you don't specify in your profile, and I didn't recall you ever mentioning it. Hence the qualification.

I have come to a couple events - the FBH Wrap party, and I think the Seattle reading of Fatal Revenant, so I thought maybe you remembered me from one of those.

After you recounted so many I'll give you hints:

- Life&death rescue happened in 2nd book during her travels.

- metaphorical one (though in retrospect could be a life&death) happened in 1st book and was hilarious.
The only thing I can think of for #1 would be the lava at Sternwall, but I didn't remember a rescue there as much as just making sure the gate was open.

As for the other one, you're probably talking about Gereden interrupting Eremis' advances on Terisa by wanting to "serve" him in gratitude. Or maybe the one with (was it Sadith?) pulling Terisa away to talk to the King's daughters? (Or were these the same event?)

Very close. Eremis attacked them with the mouthballs as they were approaching the city gates. The local soldiers rescued them. I think Terisa's horse died during that incident.

Yep and they were the same event. Geraden was very determined and even recruited Sadith, who was happy to help.

Congrats! Your win. :yourock: :letsparty:

So the numbers are:

Rescues from Death:

11 definite

3 undecided:

- The attack on Houseldon

- The incident at Queen's Madin's house

- Eremis pillow defence

Rescues from metaphorical death:

2 definite

3 undecided:

- The servant who taught her hop board

- The Tor countermanding her arrest

- Return of the twosome from her world by Havelock

Anyone else want to weigh in on the 6 undecided incidents?

After all of that, I think I'll toss out a real softball. I'm not sure if it has been used before, but here goes...

During the attack on Houseldon, what did Terisa do that got the attention of the FireCat?

Did she tell it, "Scat...go away", while standing in the middle of the street while waving at it?

Remind me of Alice in Wonderland and her fearsome cat. Could that be Donaldson inspiration for the giant fire cat?

Never really seen any similarity between the Fire Cat and the Cheshire one. :D

Maybe it was Cat Stevens... ;)

My thanks to you, Sanity! 8)

My question is: When King Joyse gives Lebbick permission to interrogate Terisa, what does he say she must be made to do? :?:
