i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

So, a client of ours owns a vape shop, and he's a stoner.lucimay wrote:on a side note, I went to the smoke shop where I used to buy my cartons of smokes because it's really actually a vape shop and I need to get a vaporizer for the weed so I went in and had the fella talk to me all about vaporizers and such today. I don't want to vape vape juice or anything like that, it's just for the herb. remember, I live in Colorado now.
He lent us one of these dry herb vapes as a tester:
VIE Vaporizer
I see that review is not good, but actually seems to to work pretty damn well. None of us decided to actually buy one, but it looks like he's forgotten about it, so it's now the office dry herb vape. (I guess "free" also has an effect on my opinion. )

We have a vaporiser for weed but I didnt like it much. It wasnt as fancy as the one Av linked at all .. so that might be why it wasnt such a winner with me. I didnt like the heat of the steam sensation on the lungs.
I think smoking is my go to here unless I try a really good vape.
Is it healthier to vape than smoke weed? That would definitely sway me but not to the one we have though lol

Technically it is, if it's a dry herb one.
The way that works is by heating the cannabis just enough to vaporise the THC content, so you're not actually breathing in any burning plant matter, just the "steam" of the vaporising THC.
Modern ones have variable temperature settings, so you can have it cooler or warmer as your preference.

so I looked at several review sites but this one has all the most popular.
dude at the vape shop said he sells more of the Pax 3s than any other, I thought the Firefly looked pretty cool but it's more expensive. I think i'm actually gonna go with the low tech one, number 4 on that list, the Magic Flight. it's just a cool little thing and I like how low tech it is. I think it will suit my purposes just fine.
and yeah Sky, it's just healthier not to put burnt anything in your lungs.

For the past several years, I have used the Vuber Nova for ground flower. Efficient, discreet, and easy to maintain. Biggest issue is that the screen between the mouthpiece and the chamber tends to get gummed up, but a short soak in 90% isopropyl alcohol, a quick shake to agitate, and a blot on some tissue removes that accumulation and frees up the draw.
Focus on where you are going and why.

The GF has gone off pipes for the moment, so she still rolls. And we usually roll at work, since there are several of us and it goes round better. But at home, it's much easier to load a little pipe quickly and have a few tokes.
Also, because of the screw-cap, it's effectively a smokeless pipe...the only smoke is what you exhale.
Best. Pipe. Ever.
(Should this all be in the "Spark" thread? )

Yes, it's got a spiral screw construction on the inside, so the smoke travels a much longer path than the length of the pipe.Skyweir wrote:Does it cool the smoke? Is that what it means by cooling screw?

Not feeling great. Went to dAN's father's funeral yesterday and saw dAN for the first time in weeks. He is really struggling with health issues, severely limited sight, motor skills issues and he has lost a noticeable amount of weight. Outside of my wife dAN is my best friend in the world, we grew up together. I am pretty worried. Also just heard my Aunt Betty isn't responding to chemo and she is being moved to hospice. Just a hard time all around.
I think it is unlikely that dAN will be able to visit the Watch for the foreseeable future so I will try and post updates on his condition.

Ah hell TOM, sorry to hear, and thanks for letting us know. Tell dAN we're thinking of him.
I'm mostly fine, relatively speaking. Think I'm fighting off a bit of flu or something, but too busy to get sick now.
Massive deadline for our entry to the Google Partner Awards, so will prob be working late today, and depending on how things go, maybe even have to work tomorrow.
So I can't hang around.
