Killing Eve?

Post by TheFallen »

This is about to launch on BBC One this Sunday here in the UK. Apparently it's been much lauded in the US - is it worth a watch?

Personally I liked it a lot.

Jodie Comer's performance as Villanelle was epic.

If you can allow coining the term "date series" by extrapolating from "date movie", then I will say it's a good date series.

Has anybody seen the second season? I have yet to do so, but I liked the first season. And I have a big crush on Phoebe Waller-Bridge's writing. Just watched Crashing after strongly falling for Fleabag earlier this year. I can't get enough of her work.

GF watched them and enjoyed it enough to suggest I looked for the books. Pretty sure she watched S02 as well.

I watched the second season and thought it wasn't quite as good as the first. The plot is wandering and a bit incoherent, but it does set up an unsuspenseful cliffhanger ending. I gave it 2 mehs - watch it in case season 3 is good.

Oh, I see Phoebe Waller-Bridge wasn't involved in the writing of season 2. So maybe that is why.
