Thankful for small mercies eh?
Here we are having an atrociously early Fire season .. started in August. Its bad .. weve had hot weather and high winds which have made extinguishing the fires very challenging. To date a few deaths and they think 100,000 homes will be lost. Huge impact on one of the few remaining koala colonies with more than 350 koalas dead. Really tragic for a species already on the heading to extinction list.

Always sad. However, I also must remind myself that 99.9% of all species that have ever existed are currently extinct.
That is what happens to species when their environment changes, and they are unable to adapt.
It is the natural way. While I hate that we play a role in these things, we are also simply the latest of many environmental factors that have been able to impact the viability of a species.

I want rain. It was very foggy today. Some folks were calling it rain. It was not rain. Sun is supposed to be back tomorrow. An unusually dry November so far, but I don't think usual is a thing these days.
Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

Yeah, especially if it's too close.
Still hot here too. And of all the madness, have had no less than 3 small tornadoes reported in the last week. Been 40 years since we had one before, and now 3 in a week.
(Not serious ones by, for example, US standards, but pretty extreme for us who don't get them.)

We had a decent storm over the weekend, which got people whining about when is the rain going to stop? Our rainy season just started, it started late, and we're below the annual average, so keep it coming, thank you very much.

Lots of snow in December this year for most of Massachusetts.
It's nice.
Not too much and gives me some real white Christmas feels.

Poor guy. Nothing left of him but his hat and demonic penis.
