I think you're right, but either way, IS was indeed definitively right in his answer to my question. :D

Second, I'll ask a real question:

What is Warden surprised that Marc Vestibule didn't demand in his final negotiation?
Wow, I don't think I know that one. Surprised that Marc didn't demand the formula for the mutagen immunity drug, is my guess.

Sorry, neither of those correctly answers the question. :) Naturally, there are any number of things that weren't demanded, but there was one that it was called out that Warden was surprised by.

Note - there was a very good reason it wasn't demanded, by the way, but Warden couldn't know that at the time.

Perhaps Warden is surprised that Marc doesn't demand to know why Morn was rescued from the Amnion sector of Billingate.

That's not it either. I'll give a clue that I hope isn't too dead simple - the Amnion demands Vestibule presented were a list of people, and someone was conspicuously absent.

Milos was also already dead, having been killed by Sorus. Even if the Amnion were not aware of how he died, they surely knew that he had to have been killed when they turned their proton cannon on Soar.

If I take your hint rightly, the answer is Nick...who was also killed by Sorus in one of the great anticlimaxes of the Gap saga.

Correct - remember, the question was "What was Warden surprised that the Amnion didn't demand?". At that point, he knew that Milos had turned, and that Angus was operating under the post-Milos protocols. Dead or not, he wasn't relevant.

He had no way of knowing that Nick was dead at the time, so he expected him to be on the list.

Your question!

When Angus and the others have rescued Morn from her cell in the Amnion sector, Angus leaves the others to make their way back to Trumpet.

Who does he put in charge?

Davies is not the one put in charge.

Both to clarify why that isn't the answer and as a narrow-the-field hint, Davies is not with Angus when this delegation of authority happens. Davies and Vector were the sub-team that sabotaged the electricity and lighting on the surface of Thantos Minor while the others broke into the Amnion sector to rescue Morn.

The person put in charge is with the latter group.

Correct. Angus puts Mikka in command with instructions to get Morn back to Trumpet, to shoot Nick if he gave her any trouble, and to wait one hour for Angus to return.

It's your question now...
