What I think is funny is how often I've kinda hated books you really like. . Neverwhere. Consider Phlebas. Illuminati, or whatever it's called. That one I can't even remember the name, something similar to Liebniz? Fortunately we have some excellent stuff in common, but damn.

I binged The Sandman. The first five episodes, especially ep 5, were brutal, but Luci convinced me to stick it out through ep 6, which was really good. The rest of them were okay. I liked the shorts better, particularly the last one.
I never read the comics so I have nothing to compare it to.
