Looking forward to what you thought...and if you happened to map out the geography of this story, would definitely want to see that!

So far I've been really enjoying Bifalt and Estie's characters. Especially Estie. Definitely two of the more interesting new characters SRD has written about in a long while. The Last Chronicles was such a slog of unmemorable characters. Pretty sure Stave was it.

Really hoping these last two chapters leaves them with a satisfying ending. You never know with SRD.

I finally finished it! Hooray!!!

Quick thoughts:
-Definitely SRD's most satisfying and well written work in a while. Much better than TLC.
-Bifalt and Estie are some of the best written characters SRD has created in a while. Again, much better than anyone in TLC (OK, maybe except Stave.)
-Really enjoyed Estie's character and growth in particular. By far his best written female character since who knows when.
-The deafness in particular was an interesting twist that I didn't see coming, that added some interesting elements (but I wish he pushed further).
-Glad Bifalt and Estie got their happy ending at the end, if you know what I mean.

Well done, SRD! A highly enjoyable series.
