John Marco?

Post by Metal-Demon »

I just picked up his first three books:

The Jackal of Nar
The Grand Design
The Saints of the Sword

Anyone familiar with his work and care to comment?

My wife randomly picked up his DEVIL'S ARMOR book for me. Since it was book 2, I had to find book 1, while waiting for book 3. Anyway, haven't read either yet. Tried, but didn't click. Maybe now that RUNES is behind me....

Marco is one of those authors I really wanted to like. Military epic fantasy, great cover artwork by Doug Beekman. It looks great.

But twice I just couldn't get very far in The Jackal of Nar. It didn't seem very well-written to me. I've heard Marco has improved by leaps and bounds, so I may have to give him another try.
