Yeah, the tournament was fun, but kind of hard to pull off. As soon as I get back home (can't get past the ship's firewall), I'll be happy to play anyone for the icon. In fact, if someone else wants to hold onto it until then, just let me know, and I'll send Vain a PM to transfer it over. dAN, of course, has first dibs.

How's this idea sound? Whoever has the icon has to accept at least one challenge per week. If a challenge goes unanswered (such as in my case) for any longer than a week from which it was posted, the icon goes to the challenger. If the icon is forfeited thusly, the previous holder has first rights to the next challenge. The icon holder can refuse a challenge by anyone he/she has beaten previously (except if the challenger lost the icon on the last game played), unless no one posts a challenge within one week of the last game played.

That sounds cool, but I think you may as well hold on to it for the time being. When you get back, then we can play. From what I've heard, you and Vain can both beat me easily. At least, that's what all the people I crushed said; that you two crushed them more completely than I did. What can I say? I'm a dit like my avatar; I like to play with my victims before I make the kill.

Heh, not likely. The last game I played with Hier was pretty rough. I try to never underestimate anyone. And when money or titles are on the line... I guess I'm just ruthless.

For instance, one of the guys on my ship, Rodgers, isn't that good of a player, despite my efforts to hone his skills. Well, one time I thought I'd play it out a bit... blindsighted by a checkmate out of nowhere.

But cool. We'll start it up on or around the 17th, then.

I look forward to it.....Heir says he's improved lately. I haven't played since the last time here, so maybe now he can prove a challenge for me.

I've played many. The BEST played, by far, is Gil Galad. I only beat him once because he made a stupid mistake; lost his queen and then resigned. He then proceeded to CRUSH me in our successive games. I'm of the opinion that even queenless he stood a good chance of winning - he resigned because he was angry with himself (but hey - a wins a win!!

Wasn't the score 2-1 in your favour... I wouldn't say that's very conclusive. I may be mistaken, however... it must have been at least eight months since we played.

If you have improved, then you're right. But if we both are where we were at 8 months ago, then I know I can beat you 3/4 of the time. I'm not trying to be cocky, I'm just stating how it was where we were. I hear you have gotten better, though, so you're probably right.
