The Appreciation Thread

Post by Xar »

Well, I've been a member of this forum for a while now, and I've been reading it often every time I have the chance - including when I'm at work. I have to say, I've been in several forums before, but I've never found the familiarity, affection, and feeling of "home" I have found here. Whereas other forums have flame wars, heated discussions, insults, strong disagreements, destructive criticism - each of them, to a greater or lesser degree - Kevin's Watch feels much more like a family - a very large and nice family, truth be told, and whenever visiting the forums, it's always a pleasure to read through what's new - and why not, what's old as well.

So, I'd like to send a huge |G to everyone, as a way of saying I'm glad, and why not, honored to be part of this huge "family" we have here at Kevin's Watch!

I'm sorry you feel that way. Those kinds of inconsiderate actions by our members will not be tolerated here at the Watch at all. I'll try to solve this problem soon. Thanks for letting me know about it.

Kiddin. Of course. Glad to have you, Xar. And everyone else.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Nice thread, Xar. :D I don't go to very many places on the Watch, but I've seen a few sites like the nasty ones you describe, and other Watchers have said so too. On or off the internet, the Watch is as cool a place as any I know, and I feel as much at home here as I've ever felt anywhere.

The forums at gottadeal.com? It's where I've been spending most of my online time since Halloween, plotting my Black Friday strategy.

Yeah, we're wonderful aren't we? All of us, in our special ways. ;)

Had to go and slander the 'Tank MM? Been in there lately? I tell ya, the outpouring of love has become such that you'd be hard-pressed to recognise it. ;)

We're not that bad, damnit.

Xar, it's good to have you around more frequently again as well. :) (Visit the 'Tank... )
