I recently had a crash course in epilepsy when my 3 year old son came down with it this summer(atonic drop seizures).
We tried Keppra and it worked great for a few months but then he started "head bobbing" so now he's on Depakote as well.
If the head bobs go away he'll be weaned off the Keppra.
Sadly that should have happened by now but it hasn't.
Working with the neurologist on this.

F#cking sickens me to think about how unsafe his condition is.

HLT - so sorry about your bubby's epilepsy! Poor little mite. I hate hearing about little ones who suffer. I have a gorgeous baby nephew (also 3) and another bub to look forward to in July, and would be devastated if anything happened to them.

Just to reverse the trend of bad feeling, today I actually feel really good! Boss is away, not much work to do, and new series of "Lost" starting tonight! ;)

gotta be happy with that!

sorry about your son HLT.

you know what a new series of Lost means to me Elfy? it means getting excited every week about whats gonna happen and what new revelation there will be only to realise at the end of the show that bugger all actually happened! and theres like 6 more series of not much happening to go!!
but what tops it all off is that i cant stop watching-its too damn good. i still get excited every week even though i know nothing will happen! and if it does it wont happen till right at the end of the episode and they wont revisit/conclude that cliffhanger for....hell some didnt even get concluded.

......cant wait for the new series .....sooo exciting!! :)
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

I seriously hope your son gets better, HLT. If you ever need a friend to chat to, send me a pm or email.

I am feeling great. My SS uniform finally arrived in the mail!

Just kidding. But I am feeling great!

HLT my heart goes out to you! I can only begin to imagine what you're going through. I hope that things work out for your little man.

...as for me. Today I've decided my emotions aren't that bad so despite yesterday's "divorce" from them, we're currently in the process of reconciling. :D

Actually, I feel better than I have in a long time!

My laptop was hacked into and I had to reformat. I have no idea if they stole anything. I don't think so. Might be related to the worm virii that attacked my system two days ago. Lost some precious photos.

ZoneAlarm® Antivirus will protect you against the BlackWorm (MyWife.d) scheduled to attack this Friday, Feb. 3, 2006

Severity: High Risk

BlackWorm is a new and potentially destructive Internet worm currently making its way around the globe. It is infecting users via e-mail and is scheduled to destroy all Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, PSD and ZIP files on Feb. 3.

If you upgrade to ZoneAlarm Antivirus before Feb. 3, it will detect and remove existing BlackWorm infections and prevent future infections.

Free ZoneAlarm Firewall will not protect you from BlackWorm. Only ZoneAlarm premium products (ZoneAlarm Antivirus, Anti-Spyware, PRO, and Internet Security Suite) will protect against the BlackWorm.

It's GREAT! watched it last night (no Sawyer, so my drooling was in check!) but otherwise... 8O

AND...I just bought the entire first series on DVD! Bargain of $75 for 7 DVDs with about 5 hours worth of extras & docos & the like!

So today, I'm feeling pretty happy! That and the fact that its POETS day. (Piss Off Early, Tomorrow's Saturday)...gotta love Fridays! ;)

I'm feeling ultra-cool, as usual. The professors must have recognized it, because I only had to go to one class this morning, and now I'm off until Wednesday. Called winter break or something. Sounds like extended weekend to me!

Sleeeeeeeepy. :Z: I have 4 hours of work left, and I am gulping coffee trying to stay awake. Keeping my fingers crossed that I make it through without bumping my head against my desk!

Hungover and sleepy...oh and no one else is in the office so I can't leave for lunch, so I guess I could add hungry to that.

I feel even cooler than ever! Just got an e-mail from professor, extending an invitation to my college's Beta Psi chapter of Sigma Tau Delta--the International English Honor Society! :nanaparty:
