It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

Well, the Irish grandmother has now left so things might get back to normal now. I've got heaps of work to catch up on <sigh>, but that's life! Son of Seareach yesterday learnt how to say "Echidna" (he says "e-kid-dah") after seeing one near the beach. Of course, now he's finding them everywhere (behind our couch, under the bed...great imagination he has!).

Good luck with your other tests LF; and Tazz I thought you were going to be computer-less?

I am overtired and my nose is runny. :(

I can NOT afford to be sick again. :x

Very good news! :D MsMary, I do hope your nose feels better! :)

It's really foggy and cloudy outside right now...all of the snow is melting...later today we're supposed to have very heavy rain and we're under high wind warnings for tonight. Should be interesting getting home from work in the middle of the night tonight. :) Perhaps I can have an adventure in my little Jeep. 8)

Computers...gotta love them huh? Bad luck Lore. (Mine is so badly in need of repair that I no longer turn it off, because I know there's a better than even chance that it'll never come back on. )

What was wrong with it? (And considering it took 4 weeks to repair, I'm guessing you sent it in to a shop or something?) (I do my repairs myself, or get one of my techie friends to help me. My only problem right now is affording the components that I need. *sigh* )

Power supply had died, as well as the motherboard. Thing is, they dont stock the same motherboard, so that's why it took so long - had to be sent overseas. I am basically demanding a new system on monday. Not going to wait for another 4 weeks.

What a pain...yeah, I agree...try get them to replace it instead of waiting.

Haha, I need a new motherboard too, and therefore all the peripherals...*sigh*

Lore, I'm no computer wiz, but have had my share of problems and my sister's partner fixes computers etc. I don't know why you would need to get exactly the same motherboard. Your computer should be able to take a variety of different ones...at least that's how I understand it (maybe I'm just making this up! :D ). BUT if the computer was relatively new, I'd definitely be demanding a new system. Some computers are just prone to be problematic!

Thanks for the advice, and that is what I will be doing.

First day of what is nearly a four day weekend. I get my normal days off -Friday and Saturday - work Sunday night, then am off Monday for the Presidents Day holiday. :) Sunday nights on holiday weekends are usually ludicrously quiet, so I will probably get to work on continuing education most of that night. :) And my kids have no school today or Monday, so we should have a fine weekend. 8)

We had some very interesting weather last night. I did get to have a very tiny adventure driving home in crossing a flooded area of the road that runs between the hospital where I work and the freeway. :)

Am happy today. :D My kids are happily watching the Olympics and playing; the dog is curled up on top of my feet; the cats have surrounded me in furry purry sleepy piles.
Love as thou wilt.

I had a night full of nightmares...none of which I can remember much of this morning except for children in carts/buggies that were pulled by goats. And at some stage I remember stumbling across an "internet cafe-esque" shop in a deserted town that had computers in it which looked like they'd been assembled from spare parts. What all *that* means I have no idea!
