Ghost in the Shell

Post by Queeaqueg »

Anyone watch the movie. Anyone like the manga? I thouht it was good.

*I don't know if this belongs in here or the Film place. I though here since it is a manga cartoon.

I've been expanding my tiny anime collection lately, so I saw Ghost In The Shell a few weeks back. I enjoyed it; it was thoughtful, and the voice acting wasn't horrible.

I watch it all the time, it's on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network every week, love it. The original story/movie had wide critical acclaim too.

Liked the movie. The series puts me to sleep.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Didn't know there was a series. The movie, I still enjoy. In fact, it's the only manga-type movie I own. Quite different...on the whole, more like a normal sci-fi movie I think.
