The World Cup was brilliant, now Euro 2008 next, shame scotland have both France and Italy in our group.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Euro 2008. A long way off... a whole two years! Oh well, we still have the best League in the world, the Premiership!
Going back to Euro 2008, they have seemed to done some of the ranks stuff already before anyone was gone in. England will be rank 1 and France rank 2. This can't be right, surely it will be Italy who will be rank 1 and France rank 2.
Anyway, England should of won this world cup.
Now the Italian players can go back to their 2nd and 3rd division clubs :P
Real Madrid are meant to be buying most of these players - Robben, C Ronaldo, Fabregas, Kaka, Cannavaro, Zambrotta, Diarra, Emerson, Tonia nd Trezeguet. With the others players like Raul, Beckham, Ronaldo, Ramos, Robinho, Woodgate and Guti already there. One reason why I hate Real Madrid, they must buy everyone and have a team of super stars and big egos. I hope they don't win anything becuase thats what they deserve.

I missed more than half of the final game because I had to come to work. When I got home and watched the highlights I was surprised by the head butt thing. Of course, all they show on the highlights is the head butt, and nothing that might have led up to it.

Can someone please fill me in on what exactly happened? Did the Italian player say something or do some sort of instigating act prior to that? :?
Love as thou wilt.

Reports suggest the Lanky Italian bloke made a remark about his mother who is seriously ill.

Something like - 'You are the son of an Algerian whore''

Right, the World Cup is over - let it go.

Now to start thinking about the important stuff. i.e. Scotland qualifying for Euro 2008

Shouldn't be too hard, only have to get past Italy ( :Help: ), France ( :Help: ), and the Ukraine (1/4 fanalists)

Lithuania, the Faroes and Georgia might as well not turn up, cos well thrash them anayway

Looking forward to a wee trip to Lithuania in September (cheap beer & my 40th birthday - booked a place in rehab for when I get back  )

That's what I heard as well - pretty low if it's true.

Players try and get under their opponents' skin all the time, it's part and parcel of the game. Forwards should be especially accustomed to it: one of the reasons Carlton Palmer made an effective centre half wasn't because of his ability (but you already knew that, right?) but because he'd spend the whole game winding up the player he was marking. He was well known for it, he'd talk about how much more he was getting paid, make unkind comments about their wives or girlfriends, tease them with transfer rumours, anything he could to put them off their game.

I'd expect Materazzi must have said something pretty severe, but what's being reported strikes me as a bit out of character. He was trying to win the World Cup though, so maybe he was going all out to upset France's best player.

I think this one is a lot better :P

Materazzi: Hay, Zidane!
Zidane: What?
Materazzi: I heard you're leaving Real this year?
Zidane: Yeah, I know
Materazzi: What you going to do?
Zidane: I have started doing martial arts n stuff
Materazzi: Really? show some moves.

Where are Real Madrid getting all the money from/ They say they are going to buy all those players, with what? They are 150 million in debt.

New FIFA World Rankings are out. Based on the performance in the World Cup.
1. Brazil
2. Italy
3. Argentina
4. France
5. England
6. Holland
7. Spain
8. Portugal
9. Germany
10. Czech Republic

Looks fair enough. Looking at the League Ranking.
1. Spanish League
2. Italian League
3. English League
That is wrong, should be England top.
