Wow, I'm beginning to think this thread belongs in the Tank! Anyway, I'm a bit annoyed this morning. My ex-coworker, who used to be my manager before having that title stripped from him due to gross incompetence, continues to attempt to stalk me through my friends. I'm beginning to think he's gay or something.....anyway, other than that, I guess I'm okay.

Some mornings (I'd say ablut half the time) I wake up in a very confused state, very groggy, and I don't know where I am right away. The groggyness usually persists a few hours, and that's where I'm at right now. Very hazy. Other than that, all is well. :D

I AM getting pretty sick of this waking up confused thing though... I'm considering looking into a different job... except it happens when I take naps, too, so I don't know if it's just an early morning thing.

May 24th was my first day of freedom from teaching, but it began an unknown spiral into near-madness. I was so happy I took the boys and JoJo (the oz shepard/blue healer) to the park for breakfast. I let JoJo run free and thus it began-tickets for failure to restrain and no lisence. I was absolutely sure Tam took care of all that, but no...So I go to court, tell the judge we're in the process of taking care of that and he says, "Ok, rescheduled bring proof." Two weeks later we have proof of shots no lisence (I didn't realize that Tam took JoJo to a shot processing clinic) so I tell the judge that our vet automatically has taken care or that for years and my wife realized that and later sent to the state for a lisence. "Ok rescheduled, bring proof and we can work out a continuance." Unlike my first hearing the officer involved, came up to me and said, "A continuance means you won't have to pay any fines and this is dismissed. I talked to the judge about this and we agreed that this is a waste of time for everyone concerned."

Now I go to New York to help out my mom who just recovered from 30+ chemo treatments. I was concertrating so hard on that and the DC gathering that I forgot I had another court date. The lisence was being processed at some mailing house in Texas!! So Tam had to go in my place and say that we still hadn't received the lisence, the judge was not happy about that or the fact that I was not there. My poor baby! :( A week ago we finally got the damm thing and I went straight down to his clerk to show her and hoped the whole thing would be dropped. No I had to officially show the judge all the papers. "When's my next date?", in four days, 8AM! 8O Friday morning came and the baby got a fever, the birth parents couldn't pick up the boys in time. Saturday morning I woke up "OOOOHHH SHEEEET!" Called the judge's office twice apologizing profusely, went to his office with all the papers on Monday, and found two police officers at my side. If I didn't pay a $200 bond right then and there I would go to jail.

I knew I would, there was no $ in our account but we took the long walk to an ATM. I was stunned! Ten 20s popped out! Somebody out there likes me! Yeah, Child Services would have loved to know that one of their lisenced foster parents was in jail. Tam was in South Dakota because her mother just died (by the way judge) and there was no way I could reach her. I didn't know anyone who could just bop down and bond me out. It turns out that Tam's yearly bonus decided to wire itself into our account Friday afternoon. Damm! Talk about dodging a bullet! Thanks for letting me get that out of my system! :faint: Ay! I need a nap!!!! (btw, if I show up to court on the next date with the papers I get the $200 back and everything is dropped 8O )

Glad you've managed to keep yourself out of jail, but am sad to hear about the moms. Do yourself a favour and tell us what that next court date is, so we can PM you a reminder!

What Is Sleep Inertia?

Sleep inertia is a transitional state of lowered arousal occurring immediately after awakening from sleep and producing a temporary decrement in any subsequent performance. Studies show that sleep inertia can last from a few minutes to four hours.

But it's not really BAD, I get over it... never considered it a huge deal. I'll be ok :) Thank you all for your concern, though :P

It may seem like a little thing, but sometimes things like that get worse, or affect you more than you realize. I was crazy enough to live with terrible migraine headaches for years, because I just figured there was no cure, so why bother? Well, I finally went, and guess what? I don't get them anymore. It is well worth the effort to see a doctor.

Blah, can I at least put it off until I get my teeth (wisdom) ripped out of my head? I think that takes priority.

i'm supporting the guys here WH...go to doctor. it could be something as simple as blood sugar levels which is EASILY taken care of with diet. really.

how much sugar do you eat daily. do you get sleepy after you eat? do you wake intermittenly in the night? do you eat a lot of bread and potatoes?

then again it could be something more serious. GO. ;)

Then again, it could be 'morning-itis' - I have it. It's a form of physical inertia brought on by being awakened at ungodly hours by a shrieking buzzer & having to drag your arse outa bed into a cold room to go to work when you'd really rather just sleep ANOTHER HOUR to get your shit together but you can't or you'll not find any parking and your boss will give you the evil eye when you have to park a kilometre away from your workplace.

Me? I function better as a human being after 10am....til at least 1am (3am on weekends, but then I don't have to wake up early on w/e's unless I have a waxing appointment, like I did this weekend.)

I also have a 'consciousness vacuum' at around 3.30pm - you zone out in front of the computer and type the same word over and over again because you can't move on... 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

Good. I got a couple of CD's today (Metallica's Black Album and St. Anger), and I'm listening to them now. :)

Bad luck with the sleepiness-y-thing, Waddley.

Good luck with the trial, Danlo. :)

Technically, the "Black" album is titled Metallica IIRC. Therefore it's Metallica: Metallica. ;)

Ate at Golden Corral yesterday, had six Belgian waffles for breakfast this morning, and still have about a month off. I heart you, college.
