ANYWAY
Wild magic changes alot through the chronicles- In the first chronicles its alot more subtle and less associated with fire. In the first chronicles the wild magic isn't so much triggered by powerful objects, but more triggers them, like unlocking the fire lions and lighting the orcrest and krill (and making the lords stick super deadly). The only two instances where I think wild magic resembles anything like it is in the second chrons is when tom breaks the fire wall that kills brinanr (wrong name? the hearthrall under mt thunder), as it says red fire goes up his arm for a few seconds. The other time its like white fire is when troy gets it for that short time.
Apart from that the wild magic is alot different to the other chronicles- covenant can give invisible energy to foamfollower, and even when he triggers it on the illearth stone it isn't like the second chronicles. Its described as gyrating whirlwind of power from his ring, and fire isn't really mentioned. Its even specifically mentioned that it cant really be focused, and that to use it covenant just has to get angry, but im not really sure about that part. It seems alot different to the fire that covenant shaves with in the second chronicles.
All those differences might be intentional, as wild magic might just change depending on the mind set of the wielder. Maybe it being a semi controlled fire in the second chronicles might be because of the venom and covenants lack of control, and maybe its only fire because of his truncated senses. Linden uses the wild magic a bit more like it is used in the first chronicles I suppose, when she heals the giant on the boat (and thinks that she could heal the tree findail kills)
The biggest differences I think are between the second and third chronicles.
Spoiler
Mainly its to do with how in the second chronicles linden can do so much more with the wild magic and do it so much easier than in the third chronicles. In the second she heals the giant to health super easily and quickly- and she was really tired at the time. In the third chronicles however when she heals stave she doesn't fully heal him, but rather just seems to cauterize the internal wounds together or something, seemingly limiting the wild magic to fire again. But I suppose we'll see how far linden will take the limits of wild magic.
