Are these clues too cryptic? How easy would you like it to be?

Should I tell you that I have been here for some years, but not as long as others?

That I there are things I dispute?

Clearly my attempts are too successful. I shall have to think of easier clues, for no guesser has been right.

Although, one or two are on a track which may prove fruitful.

Yes, it is I. The Mad Hatter, reborn into a new form just as our beloved Dr Who. I, however, am not a Doctor yet, although I am well on my way to completing the first step towards my doctorate.

As my successor suggests, my avatar is clearly an eye which is both dark and bright. My enormous post-count belies my hope that my prolificy is subtle, I've been here nearly 3 years, but others have been here longer, and of course, I try to keep the peace in the 'Tank, arguing all the while.
