Yes, and start with SoS, then loop back to the beginning, (assuming we have time to before TDT) and tackle TDT when it comes out

No, how many dissections does one board need going at once?

Dissecting the Tower

Well? Anyone interested? If so, should we start with SoS, or should we begin at the beginning? I'd love to do the whole thing.....but how do you feel about where to start? I'm not sure if I can wait myself, with the next two books due out so soon....what do you all think?

I would love to be involved with this. But, I think we should start with the Gunslinger and work our way thru. :D
And I believe in you

I would love to...but after the Donaldson reads are done. :)

Actually, I am waiting for the last book in the series to come out before starting the series. I seem to be in the middle of so many of them right now...it will be purely a joy to read one that is completed. 8)

I don't want to protest too loudly here, but I think it's better if we just stuck to doing chapter reads of the works of SRD. You guys do whatever you want, though.

Hey, did this ever go anywhere? Is there any current interest? I'm sure I could just go to a King discussion board to be a part of this SOMEWHERE, but I like the people here so much.

I like dissection, and I like King. There's too much Stevie D to dissect yet. If someone does DT without me I will be sad. This is not a King forum. Flip. Flop. Flip. Flop.

I know! Flip flop is right.... maybe it's not appropriate now that I think about it. If there's anything I REALLY want to talk about, can't I just post it in the forum? Yeah.... nevermind this I think...

OK..if this post is going to open up a 4 year old can of worms so be it,.... if this thread is to get started it should start not with book 1 of the tower..but what came before it..... the Little Sisters of Eluria. but i think SK may have killed any tower discussion with his Ending. :D :(

I would dissect the Tower per the suggested order I read it in, which was listed by Avatar and then quoted by me at Order List for the Dark Tower.

Although, I may want to do the fuller tie-ins, if I read the series again, as I won't be anxious to finish this time. Include Black House and It this time through for example...

I'd rather we just pick away at it.

God damn...the 7 main books would be work enough. Still, I've always been in favour of it. Wouldn't think you'd get anywhere until after the FR group read though.

Gods know I've got enough unfulfilled dissection respo0nsibilities, what with Dune and Earthsea at the Hangar.

Anyway, I agree with Cail if he means just the main series. The others can get tied in via references...damned if I'm going to dissect Desperation just because of the can tak or whatever it was.

If we ever do it, bags I the chapter where Jake dies in The Gunslinger. :D

"Go then. There are other worlds than these."

(Original Gunslinger not revised rewrite if we dissect.)
