UK Video Needed

Post by Romeo »

Can anyone in the UK get their hands on a copy of The Colour of Magic for me? I'll pay for shipping and whatnot. :-)

As far as I can see, it hasn't been officially released. Your only chance at this point is for someone to have recorded the broadcast. I didn't, I'm afraid (nor did I watch it, for that matter).

Awesome... I think they released Hogfather pretty quickly here - :cross: that they'll do the same.

As Covjr said its not released as of yet but I need to speak to our dvd supplier at work in the next couple of days so I could ask for you if you want?
If its soon I can happily send it your way. :)

I'd forgotten it was out actually. My partner is a huge Pratchett fan so I will be buying a copy for us as well!

Thanks - that'd be great! I didn't know if anyone managed to tape the show. Just watched Hogfather (after finishing the book). They did a pretty good job with it.

What is this? Animation? Live action? (I love Pratchett...dunno if I could go for a film version though...how would you define "pretty good"?)

Live action. What deterred me from watching it was David Jason as Rincewind. He's a decent actor, but completely wrong for Rincewind.

Mr Jason also played Albert in Hogfather. How can the same person be cast as both Albert and Rincewind?!

Del boy! Yeah...I could almost see him as Albert...almost. But definitely not Rincewind. Nowhere near scraggley enough.

Ok, I'm put off. :D

Is it not available to download as a torrent file? there's a thread over in The Loresraat how to do it....

isohunt.com/torrents/?ihq=Colour+of+Magic

Of course downloading is probably illegal and pirating and stuff, so I'm not saying you should actually DO that or anything.....
